The school semester is up and running again. Being back on campus is awesome, besides walking to classes in below-zero temps. Winter is all about adding as many layers to an outfit as possible and praying that spring comes soon. Recently I have only been wearing button-downs with a sweater or sweatshirt on top. It is the easiest way to stay warm and look put together for class. I can’t stop wearing the top in this post. It is so comfy. The front of it looks like a cable knit sweater, but it is actually a sweatshirt. (How cool!) When braving the freezing winds, throw on a plaid scarf. They are so classic and super simple to match with tons of outfit combos. Stay warm!

We recently received SO much snow at my house! My sister and I were having a blast playing outdoors and then warming up by watching movies near the fireplace.  The snow was falling unbelievably fast when we were taking these photos, making them look a little blurry.  A majority of this outfit is from after-Christmas sales, which means most of the pieces are sold out unfortunately. I made sure to add links to similar pieces, so you can make the look your own. I am loving the skirt and tights with the green Hunter boots. Be a little daring to mix colors, especially in the winter when everyone else is wearing black or grey. Stand out! You’ll be glad you did.

Thanks for stopping in!

Why, Hello There

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Heathered Hues blog! I am so excited to finally begin writing for my personal page. I am the typical broke college student but have a love for dressing up in colorful clothes and finding a bargain. I can’t wait to share some of my fashion and beauty ideas with other women, who don’t have unlimited funds. A (tiny) budget is a beautiful thing. It has taught me to be creative, try a little DIY and make smart purchase decisions. I look forward to sharing some of my favorite looks with you all.

Check back soon!

xx Heather
