Summer break is offically underway for most college and high school beauties. I have been wanting to do a post about all my summer essentials, but I have so many, that I had to trim it down to my very favorites!

The first item I am loving is a pair of subtle cat eye sunglasses. If you are nervous to make a serious investment in a pair of sunglasses, this Target pair is the perfect option for a pool day with the girls.

Before heading out into the sun, spritz your locks with this citrus oil mist. It will bring out your natural highlights, make your hair super soft and smell incredible. The mist is light enough that it will moisturize without making your hair look greasy. I am a huge fan of all the Organix products , and this oil mist is one of the best new products I’ve used this season.

Make your tan really stand out with a coral nail color. Essie’s Tart Deco is a great shade for both finger and toenails.

One of my other must-have summer beauty products is Sun Bum’s coconut lip balm. It tastes AMAZING! I put it on throughout the day and instantly feel like I should be sipping on a cocktail somewhere tropical (too bad a grey cubicle will have to suffice for now.) If you are lucky enough to be somewhere tropical, this balm has SPF 30 to protect your lips from the sun. Be sure to check out Sun Bum’s other flavors too. If I could only use one lip balm for the rest of my life, this would be it. 🙂

Continuing with a tropical scent is my Coconut Leaves scented candle. I light it every night, and it puts me in the most tranquil mood. I also have the Tiki Beach scent and recommend it as well.

A Tervis Tumbler is the only way to go when staying hydrated this summer. They can hold both hot and cold drinks and won’t “sweat” during the warm summer months. I drink coffee out of mine every morning and then ice water in the afternoon. It is the perfect combination of style and sustainability. You can customize your own or purchase one of their countless options. Not to mention, these tumblers last for years and years!

I am really into metallics this season. They always look great with a tan. I am waiting for my first paycheck to buy these silver Birkenstock sandals. I love the fun metallic straps as a play off of the traditonal leather sandal. This gold straw tote is also a classic summer piece spruced up with a metallic. Throw all the summer essentials in this tote, and you are good to go! I hope you enjoy them all as much as I do!

xx Heather
